The AS/COA Cuba Working Group makes four recommendations of measures both the Cuban and U.S. governments can take to support the island's private sector.

AS/COA's Eric Farnsworth spoke with BBC World News America about the new U.S. sanctions against Venezuela after the country's May 20 elections.
"We’re continuing to work in very close concert with allies across the region," said the vice president.
The U.S. senator focused his remarks on strengthening U.S. engagement with region when it comes to the rule of law, trade, and economic development.
Many speakers had strong words for Venezuela, none more so than U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
"The United States is committed to being the security partner of choice for the Americas," said the U.S. deputy secretary of state.
