The special presidential envoy said it will take between $1 and 2 trillion per year for the next 30 years to meet increased global climate ambitions.
The pandemic is underscoring the need for the United States to reshore much of its supply chain in critical areas, said the secretary.
“Need, not politics, will guide our decisions,” said the Secretary of State about U.S. efforts to ensure vaccines are distributed globally.
“Our trade policy must take a fundamentally different approach,” said the U.S. trade representative, saying her office needs to focus on giving workers a seat at the table.
