Join AS/COA Women's Hemispheric Network as we host our ninth annual conference. We begin the virtual conference with a keynote conversation between Lori Lee and Michael Stott followed by a panel on resilience and ambition in uncertain times. On day two, we will continue the program with a panel on high-impact corporate initiatives that promote women's advancement in the workplace and wrap the conference with a breakout session exclusively for sponsors and special guests.

Erika Herrero became the chief executive officer of Belcorp in February 2018.  She began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she held a variety of marketing leadership positions in Latin America until April 2010 when she joined Belcorp as general manager in Colombia. Herrero later became a corporate vice president with overall business responsibility for Belcorp’s operation and sales in 15 countries. Originally from Venezuela, she graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas.

Lori Lee is responsible for AT&T Latin America and she serves as global marketing officer for AT&T Inc. As CEO – AT&T Latin America, she leads the strategy, operations, and marketing of two businesses in the region; AT&T Mexico, with more than 19 million mobile consumers, and Vrio Corp., the holding company for DIRECTV and SKY Brazil, which provides digital entertainment services to more than 13 million subscribers throughout South America and the Caribbean.  In 2019, AT&T Latin America had revenues of nearly $7 billion.

Agostina Pechi is a managing director and head of Emerging Markets and Commodities Local Sales and Latin America Structured Credit Sales at Goldman Sachs. She is responsible for marketing cross-assets solutions, derivatives, and structured finance in Latin America. Pechi serves as co-head of the Securities Division Women’s Network and is a member of the Managing Director Steering Committee for the Firmwide Hispanic/Latino Network. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2013 as a vice president and was named managing director in 2015.

Director, Human Resources Latin America & Caribbean, Diageo

Laura Quevedo is the human resources director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Diageo. Quevedo joined Diageo in 2001 as an HR Manager for the South Cone (Argentina, Chile, and Peru). Quevedo later earned the role of vice president of HR, working in various roles, such as talent, global sales, and venture. In between serving as HR director for Latin America, she worked as global capability director for learning and leadership from 2014 to 2016. Before Diageo, Quevedo worked as an HR manager at both PeopleSoft Argentina and Banco Santander Rio.

Michael Stott is the Latin America editor of the Financial Times based in London. He was previously in Tokyo as managing editor of the Nikkei Asian Review, a sister publication covering Asian business and politics. Prior to that Stott was the FT's UK news editor. He reported from Latin America between 1990-1998, living in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. Formerly Moscow bureau chief and editor, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Reuters, Stott joined the FT in 2014.

Susan Segal was elected president and CEO of the Americas Society and Council of the Americas in August 2003 after working in the private sector with Latin America and other emerging markets for over 30 years. A passionate supporter of Latin America, she joined the organizations to implement a new strategic plan to renew and return the Society and Council to their historic position. Prior to her current position, she was a founding partner of her own investment and advisory group focused primarily on Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic sector.

More than 95 percent of large American companies have diversity initiatives. However, women’s progress in securing senior leadership positions has stalled in recent years, according to key studies. Only one in five C-suite executives is a woman – and only one in 25 C-suite executives is a woman of color. Regional leaders from major multinational companies will discuss the strategies that truly impact women’s advancement in the workplace and the resources required to implement them effectively.
