Boric's main political challenge will be to meet his supporters' expectations despite a divided legislature, said the AS/COA vice president.

"La incertidumbre no termina con el resultado de hoy pero por lo menos será un paso súper importante para la construcción de un nuevo Chile", dijo el vicepresidente de política pública de AS/COA.

"Se nota que la polarización continúa y que Chile sigue caminando por un largo camino", dijo el vicepresidente de política pública de AS/COA.

"This is a more serious effort, but it should have been done months or even years ago," said the AS/COA vice president.

"There is no way that anybody with an objective view would consider today's election exercise to be anything but a charade," said the AS/COA vice president.

The trip shows a desire to develop relations in a way "that helps sustain democracy in a region where it is increasingly troubled," said the AS/COA vice president.
