Dr. Eugenio Diaz-Bonilla joined IFPRI as a visiting senior research fellow in 2012 and in 2017 he was named head of the LAC Program. He received a PhD. in economics from Johns Hopkins University, as well as an M.A. in economics and an M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University.

Ivonne Baki

Ivonne A-Baki presented her letters of credence as ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to the President of the United States Donald J. Trump on February 6, 2020. She is an artist, painter, diplomat, peace negotiator, humanist, and politician. A multifaceted woman who is driven by her ideals. She studied arts at the Sorbonne University and obtained Masters’ Degrees in public administration and in public policy at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (1993). She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, German and Arabic.

Aaron Puna is currently chief executive officer of Anglo American Chile since August 1, 2019. Prior to this he was the executive head of technical for base metals. He has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry having worked in a range of commodities in both open pit and underground mines. Kevin O'Reilly

Kevin Michael O’Reilly became deputy assistant secretary of state for Western hemisphere affairs after having served as director of the Office of Brazil and Southern Cone Affairs. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Panama City, Panama, from July 2014 to July 2017, and as the embassy’s chargé d’affaires from June 2015 to February 2016.

Hugo de Zela

Hugo de Zela is a career diplomat with 42 years of service. He has served as permanent representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), Peru's ambassador to Brazil and Argentina, Peru's national coordinator in the Rio Group, as well as a member of Peru's delegation in border negotiations with Ecuador from 1997-1998. He has also served as chief of staff of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States on two occasions, from 1989 to 1994 and 2011 to 2015.

James Lambert

James M. Lambert is a former diplomat and ambassador (1982-2015). He is a Canadian thought leader on multilateral diplomacy, and relations with Latin America and Caribbean. Lambert currently provides multilateral stewardship at the Organization of American States. As a member of Secretary General's Cabinet, the Secretary for Hemispheric Affairs oversees OAS programs addressing democratic governance and open government, as well as Summits of the Americas Process.

Epsy Campbell Barr

H.E. Epsy Campbell Barr is the vice president of Costa Rica, the first Afro-descendant woman to hold this position in the Americas. In her role as vice president, Campbell heads the Northern Zone Development Program, which promotes human development in the Huetar Norte region of Costa Rica. She also directs the National Plan for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership, whose goal is to reduce gender gaps and create better opportunities for women. Previously, she served for two terms in congress and as minister of foreign relations.
