Christopher Smith was named Ford’s chief government affairs officer in March 2022. He leads a global team that is constantly enhancing the company’s expertise and influence in legislation and policy vital to the Ford+ plan for growth and value creation. Rapidly evolving policy priorities include areas such as connectivity, electric vehicles and digital services, and are intended to benefit customers, society and the environment, among other stakeholders. Smith reports to Steven Croley, Ford’s chief policy officer and general counsel. 

Juan Carlos Jobet has extensive experience in public service and the business world. He was minister of Energy and Mining during the second government of Sebastián Piñera. Between 2013 and 2014 he served as Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, and before that as Undersecretary of Housing and Urban Planning. 

Jeff Glekin was appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia in January 2019. He was previously Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Bogotá. 

Marie-Pierre Paquin is a metallurgical engineer with over 20 years experience in process development, operation/maintenance, project study and strategy.

Carlos Ibargüen is an international consultant with 30 years of experience as a senior government affairs and communications executive, advocacy & reputation management strategist, and public servant.

Lawyer from the University of Chile, Diploma in Natural Resources and Energy Law from the Catholic University and Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Before assuming his current position, he served as Legal Manager of Albemarle Chile, where he led the legal area of the company assuming important challenges, among them, the successful negotiation of contracts between the company and the State. With extensive experience in the regulatory and mining sector, prior to Albemarle, Ignacio Mehech worked as a lawyer at Compañía Minera El Abra.
