Jeffrey Hales was appointed as a member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective July 1, 2022. 

He served as the chair of Value Reporting Foundation’s SASB Standards Board from 2018 to 2022, overseeing the agenda setting and due process associated with the SASB standards development and maintenance. Before serving on the Standards Board, he chaired the SASB Standards Council, which was formed in 2012. 

Pedro Pereira is the pioneering Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) of SAP Latin America and the Caribbean, a role he assumed in January 2022. As CSO, Pedro is instrumental in guiding regional business leaders to realize the symbiotic relationship between profitability and sustainability, fostering impact and value for shareholders, the planet, and society.

Maria Laura da Rocha is secretary-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2023-present). Abroad, she was ambassador to Romania (2020–2022) and ambassador to Hungary (2017-2020); representative of Brazil to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – FAO (2014-2017); permanent delegate of Brazil to the United Nations Education Organization; permanent delegate of Brazil to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (2011-2014).

Rodrigo Pacheco is the president of the Federal Senate and the National Congress for the 2023-25 term, after holding these positions in the 2021-23 term. In 2018, he was elected to the Federal Senate, representing the State of Minas Gerais, with 3,616,864 votes. He was the leader of the Democratas party in the Senate for the 2019-20 term, and president of that party in the State of Minas Gerais.

Nelly Cetera is the JAA alumni coordinator. She was one of the co-founders and first president of the JA Argentina Alumni network and currently works at the Fundraising and Partnerships Area of JA Americas. She has recently graduated her bachelor's studies in International Affairs at the Torcuato DiTella University. She is passionate about youth networks focused on creating positive community impact, being a member of platforms such as the Global Shapers community.

Noël Zemborain serves as the president of JA Americas, an organization that empowers young people for future jobs and is part of the world's largest network that inspires and prepares youth for employment. She is an experienced executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of management experience in Latin America and Europe. 

Mariana Lisbôa is a lawyer, the global head of corporate affairs at Suzano S/A, president of the Bahia Association of Forest Based Companies (ABAF), and director of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Trade at the Federation of Industries of São Paulo (FIESP). She is a law graduate with extensive experience in the environmental area and more than 20 years of professional experience—with more than half of these dedicated to the forestry sector. 

Dr. Martín Burt is a world-renowned social entrepreneur who has developed antipoverty and educational social innovations that are currently being implemented worldwide. He is founder (1985) and CEO of Fundación Paraguaya, a social enterprise named Latin America’s most impactful and innovative development organization in 2018 by the IADB. 

Carolina Dolan Chandler leads Globant’s internal digital transformation as chief digital officer. She is also in charge of establishing a cross-company data strategy and overseeing the adoption, development, and implementation of digital technologies across the organization ranging from the company’s homegrown applications to industry standards such as Salesforce, SAP, Success Factors, and more. 

Thiago Barral has been the secretary of planning and energy transition of the Ministry of Mines and Energy since February 2023. A career employee of the Energy Research Company company, he joined EPE in 2007 as an analyst and held positions such as president, superintendent of generation projects and director of economic-energetic and environmental studies. As president of EPE, he sat on the Electric Sector Monitoring Committee and on the National Energy Policy Council.
