Marcela Ruenes is counsel and a member of the Finance Department, Banking and Latin America Practices of Latham & Waltkins. Ms. Ruenes advises a full range of lead arrangers, lenders, and borrowers. Her practice focuses on complex cross-border transactions including leveraged financings, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, and investment grade loans, as well as debt restructurings including debtor-in-possession and exit financings. Ms.

As SVP, human resources and chief diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) officer at AES, Jen Killer is responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s global people strategy, prioritizing actions that position AES as a global leader in the just energy transition. Jen has held prior roles at AES across multiple HR disciplines, including VP, HR in the US; VP, HR for Global Functions; director, Total Rewards; Director, HR Operations; and global mobility manager.

In his role as executive vice president (EVP), Jordan Schwartz is the chief operating officer (COO) of the IDB and oversees the quality control and risk management of all Bank operations. He serves as chair of management committees responsible for the Bank’s operational activities and provides oversight and direction to the vice presidents and all other senior staff.

Jorge Fernando Quiroga Ramírez is the former President of Bolivia, having been previously elected Vice President in 1997, the youngest person to have ever held the office. Mr. Quiroga has also been Bolivian Minister of Finance and Under-Secretary of Public Investment and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Planning. Born in Cochabamba in 1960, he received his bachelors degree in industrial engineering summa cum laude from Texas A&M University and MBA from St. Edward’s University.

Sebastián Barrios joined Mercado Libre in 2020 as technology senior vice president. In his role, Sebas leads all cross-technology teams including Infrastructure, Cloud & Platform, Architecture, Mobile, BI, Machine Learning and UX, among others. 

Sebas developed his entire career as an entrepreneur in the world of technology, founded two companies in Mexico: Zeb Studios and Yaxi, which he sold to Cabify. His last experience was at Cabify where he worked for the last 3 years as CTO at the headquarters in Spain. 

Cristián Carafí is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He leads the People & Organization, and Travel, Cities & Infrastructure practices for Spanish-speaking South America (Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and Central America). He also heads the Consumer practice in the Southern Cone. 

Since joining BCG in 2007, he has advised world-leading companies on unlocking growth, driving digital transformation, and developing people strategies and human resources operating models across multiple geographies. 

Vivianne Rodrigues is the Bloomberg News executive editor for Emerging Markets, a position she has held since the start of 2023. She oversees a team of 22 reporters and editors across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America as well as London and New York, directing and organizing coverage of major market-moving events. Ms. Rodrigues started her journalism career at Bloomberg in São Paulo, prior to moving to New York as an Emerging Markets and US Treasuries reporter.

Stephen Remedios is a partner and associate director in the People Strategy practice of Boston Consulting Group. He has more than 22 years of experience having done line and staff roles in leading multinational organizations. Professionally, he focuses on coaching, training, enablement, and leadership development in both the public and private sectors. 

Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA from XIMB. He is a certified coach and has over 1000 hours of senior coaching experience. 

Annali Duarte is a managing director and head of Global Payments Solutions (GPS) for Latin America at Bank of America. In this role, Annali is responsible for creating and executing the regional strategy for a suite of transaction banking solutions including payments, receivables, liquidity, and trade and supply chain finance to large corporates and financial institutions operating in Latin America. Working closely with the technology and operations teams, Annali oversees the end-to-end delivery of GPS solutions to clients in Latin America.
