AS/COA Holds Private Meetings, Annual Conference, and CFO Forum in Buenos Aires

CEO and President Susan Segal led a series of private and public events, featuring President Milei, Ministers Caputo and Wertheim, Mayor Macri, and more.

From August 20 to 21, AS/COA organized a series of public and private conferences, as well as off-the-record meetings, in Buenos Aires. That included the twenty-second edition of the Latin American Cities Conferences: Buenos Aires, which featured closing remarks by President Javier Milei. The day before, top chief financial officers gather at the latest edition of COA's CFO Forums. 

Led by AS/COA President and CEO Susan Segal, the meetings and conferences focused on the country's political panorama heading into October legislative elections, as well as investment opportunities in sectors like energy, mining, and agriculture.

2025 CFO Forum: Buenos Aires

On August 20, COA held another edition of its 2025 CFO Forums, gathering senior finance executives from major Argentine companies and multinationals to discuss key topics in private, off-the-record conversations. The Buenos Aires CFO Forum’s sessions featured discussions on the current national market and the role of CFOs in the new Argentine economy. It concluded with an economic outlook delivered by a member of the government.

The 2025 Latin American Cities Conference: Buenos Aires

On August 21, Council of the Americas and Cámara Argentina de Comercio y Servicios (CAC) held the twenty-second edition of their annual conference in Buenos Aires.

The half-day conference covered Argentina's economic and political outlook, taking place in the lead-up to the country’s legislative elections in October. President Javier Milei delivered the closing remarks. Other top members of his government spoke, including Economy Minister Luis Caputo, Chief of Cabinet Guillermo Francos, Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello, and Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation Federico Sturzenegger. Two panels—one with representatives from multilateral organizations and one on strategic investment—brought leaders from international financial institutions and the private-sector to the conference stage. The conference was opened by AS/COA President and CEO Susan Segal, CAC President Natalio Mario Grinman, and Mayor of the City of Buenos Aires Jorge Macri.
