William F. Maloney is Chief Economist for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. Maloney, a U.S. national, joined the Bank in 1998 as Senior Economist for the Latin America and Caribbean Region. He held various positions including Lead Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America, Lead Economist in the Development Economics Research Group, Chief Economist for Trade and Competitiveness, and Global Lead on Innovation and Productivity. He was most recently Chief Economist for Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions (EFI) Vice Presidency.

Nigel Purvis is an American diplomat, business and non-profit executive, think tank scholar and international lawyer. Nigel is the founding CEO of Climate Advisers, a consultancy dedicated to raising climate ambition, catalyzing action, and improving lives. Climate Advisers specializes in U.S. climate policy, international climate diplomacy, carbon markets, and climate communications.

Claudia Esteves Cano has had an outstanding professional career of more than 33 years committed to the development of Mexico. She has held positions in the banking and international promotion sector at Bancomext and ProMéxico, in the areas of credit, design of financial programs, and promotion of trade and foreign investment in Mexico. These positions include: Commercial Counselor of Mexico in Italy, deputy Commercial Counselor in Germany, Director in Veracruz, and Executive Director of Strategy in the Business Intelligence Unit.
Rodrigo Mariscal Paredes is chief economist and head of the Economic Planning Unit at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. Previously he was director general of macroeconomic analysis within the same Secretariat.
He served as a principal analyst at the Institute of International Finance and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC, where he also served as a consultant in the research department of the Inter-American Development Bank.

Luis Miguel González is the editorial general director of El Economista. He holds an economics degree from the University of Guadalajara, a master's degree in journalism at El País, from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1994, and he specialized in economic journalism at Columbia University in New York. He has been a reporter, business editor, and editorial director of the newspaper PÚBLICO of Guadalajara, and has worked in the newspapers Siglo 21 and Milenio.
