Santiago Martinez is the head of sustainability and decarbonization at Ecopetrol. He holds an MBA from ESMT Berlin and a law and business master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. For the past five years he has been leading the sustainability and climate change agenda in Ecopetrol. He led similar previous efforts for GIZ as Team Leader of Colombia's OECD accession process, as a Legal Officer for IUCN's Environmental Law Centre and as head of the legal area at the Ministry of the Environment in Colombia.
