En Casa: Adam Tully

Wednesday, November 5, 10 am

Adam Tully is a composer and guitarist born in New York and based in Buenos Aires. He is the producer of the albums Ástor 2020, la historia continúa andVení que te cuento, and artistic director of the production company Tango de Hoy. Among his recent works are Cuartetos Guitarreros, eight pieces which mix the tango idiom with contemporary and personal musical language, and which were recorded with 12 other guitarists for an album released by Tango de Hoy. Other works include a sonata for viola and piano, a string quartet, music for tango quintet and tango orchestra, and a double concierto for bandoneon and guitar.

The Dúo Tully-Peverelli (with Lucas Peverelli) was formed to play Adam Tully's music for two guitars, and they have performed at the Guitarras del Mundo Festival (in different provinces of Argentina) and in various venues in Buenos Aires. As of 2025 they are recording music for a new album.

From Buenos Aires, they sent us "Vidalita de la lluvia," a piece by Tully based on one of Argentina's oldest folkloric forms (the vidalita), both simple and full of colors. At times, it may evoke a rainstorm that inspired it and, at others, a lullaby.

En Casa: María Vanedi

María Vanedi is a singer-songwriter from Huila, in southwestern Colombia, who fuses the rich musical traditions of the Magdalena River with genres such as soul, rock, and R&B.
