En Casa: Calle Palermo

Thursday, June 11, 10 am

Calle Palermo is a band from Tegucigalpa formed during the pandemic by María Gabriela Dávila and twins Samuel and Daniel Álvarez Veroy. Their sound blends indie rock and alternative rock with pop sensibilities and emotional lyrics. In 2024, they released their debut album, Flor de Tres, which was nominated for Best Central American Album of the Year at El Salvador’s 503 Awards. In 2025, they performed at CAMM in Costa Rica and at Desde el Centro during the LAMC in New York, establishing themselves as one of the region's standout acts.

Calle Palermo performed a live acoustic session recorded at home—an intimate set featuring all band members—aimed at presenting an organic version of their musical style. Today we share "Ventana," a track from Flor de Tres.

En Casa: Dúo Pakta

Friday, June 12, 10 am

The Ecuadorian Duo Pakta (Otavalo-Kichwa singer Ana Cachimuel and guitarist and singer Óscar Betancourt Campos) is back with a Kichwa version by Ana of Chilean legend Violeta Parra's "La jardinera" (The Gardener), which was released by her duo, Hermanas Parra, in 1954. The version is resignified for the current context and highlights intercultural representation.
