En Casa: Diego Kohn

Tuesday, June 24, 10 am

Diego Kohn is back on En Casa with "Cartographies for the Present II." This is a series of improvisations for viola and electronics that explore the notion of mapping the present through sound.

En Casa: Itinerante

Wednesday, June 25, 10 am

Itinerante (Diego Bahamón Serrato, Mateo Patiño, and Sebastián Martínez Rivera) is a trio of musicians from Bogotá and Medellín who have focused their careers on the interpretation and research of Colombian Andean music, conducting a thorough study of the roles of the bandola, the tiple, and the guitar in the typical Colombian trio format. They have performed works by historical composers and repertoires that explore resources from rock, jazz, and classical music.

From Bogotá, they sent us "En el aire," a pasillo composed by Sebastián Martínez Rivera in one of the most representative rhythms of the Colombian Andes, exploring new sounds influenced by rock and classical music.

En Casa: Oscaryvan Garzon Trio

Thursday, June 26, 10 am

Oscaryvan Garzon and his trio are back with "Resiliencia."

En Casa: Danza Colibrí

Friday, June 27, 10 am

Colombian ensemble Danza Colibrí (Gabriela Sossa and Jorge Currea) is back with Sossa's "Guíame," a song that expresses the artist's trust in the spiritual. The composer says that the piece "is a prayer that rises to ask for the return to what is essential in the innermpost dimension, where true freedom lives."
