Siri Chilazi, a gender and organizations researcher at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School, had a conversation with AS/COA's Susan Segal as part of AS/COA Women's Hemispheric Network. Chilazi provided recommendations for both companies and individuals to avoid making biased decisions.
She also discussed the importance for companies to promote tailored diversity, negotiation and leadership trainings for their staff, mentorship and sponsorship programs, and networking initiatives to ensure equal opportunities in the workplace.
