Overview
Music of the Americas continues its online video series En Casa (At Home), featuring original daily performances with musicians from around the Americas, and Recuerdos (Memories), weekly releases of memorable past performances at the Americas Society, some for the first time.
En Casa this week is dedicated to Venezuelan musicians, selected by their fellow countrywoman and producer Valentina Hidalgo who over the years introduced us to C4 Trio and Rafa Pino.

Now living in CDMX, where he recorded this track, percussionist Orestes Gómez grew up in the famed Sistema, where he specialized in Afro-Venezuelan percussion. He sent us an improvisation on samples from his first album, Experiencia Curiara.
