Join the Women's Hemispheric Network as we celebrate our seventh annual conference in New York City. Conference participants will also have the opportunity to network and join in the conversation during lunch with table leaders. This year's conference will focus on the efforts to challenge the current state of diversity and inclusion for women in the workplace and how men can actively engage and advocate to improve gender representation.

Bilal Ezzeddine is legal counsel and director of External Affairs for Braskem America where he focuses on commercial law, labor and employment law, and directs Braskem’s relationships with external stakeholders, including government entities, trade associations, and organizational partners. Ezzeddine is also a member of Braskem America’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, an internal advisory body that provides strategic guidance to the company’s director of Diversity and Inclusion. He joined Braskem in 2013.

Sheri Henck is vice president of Global Supply Chain, Distribution and Logistics for Medtronic. She is responsible for leading global supply chain and distribution strategy and execution, working with Medtronic business and regional leaders to drive key supply chain initiatives. Prior to this role, Henck was the vice president of Operations for the Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) business. Among her additional leadership roles, she serves as the appointed chair of the Medtronic Women’s Network (MWN).

Prior to her current role, she led the J&J Consumer Business in Brazil for five years, leading the second largest operating unit of J&J globally. Under Kertész’s leadership, Johnson & Johnson Consumer in Brazil grew by 80 percent from 2010 to 2016.

Lex Malas is co-head of Global Banking, North America at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc. Jonathan McBride is the global head of Inclusion and Diversity at BlackRock and a member of the Americas Executive Committee. Prior to joining BlackRock, McBride served as director of the Presidential Personnel Office in the White House, a role he was appointed to in July 2013. He joined the administration as a special assistant to the president and the deputy director of the Presidential Personnel Office in August 2009.

Susan Segal was elected president and CEO of the Americas Society and Council of the Americas in August 2003 after working in the private sector with Latin America and other emerging markets for over 30 years. A passionate supporter of Latin America, she joined the organizations to implement a new strategic plan to renew and return the Society and Council to their historic position. Prior to her current position, she was a founding partner of her own investment and advisory group focused primarily on Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic sector.

Respecting and promoting women in the workplace is the responibility of everyone. To address unconscious bias, transform workplace cultures, and set new standards of gender equality, male allies are needed to be agents of change alongside their female colleagues. This candid conversation will provide the opportunity for women and men to share their personal stories, ask questions, and offer concrete advice on how to be an effective and empathetic ally in the workplace.
