As travel between the United States and Cuba becomes more common, so does the export of telecommunication equipment to Cuba. "For the first time [Cubans] are videochatting with family in Miami, they’re being able to see relatives they haven’t seen for a while," AS/COA Policy Director Alana Tummino told KQED News in Northern California, in this interview about what the near future holds for internet connectivity and digital communications in the island. "This amazing idea of being able to connect is slowly taking hold."
