Escaping Juarez: A Photographic Essay
Fleeing the violence of Ciudad Juarez, photojournalist Keith Dannemiller follows a family's migration back to Veracruz.
The Campos Ordinola family left Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua, Mexico, because of the escalating drug violence and diminishing work opportunities. Mauricio Campos, 25, Guadalupe Ordinola, 26, and their three children, Luis, 8, Edwin, 4 and Angel, 2, returned to their hometown of Tres Valles, Veracruz to live with Guadalupe's parents.
