#womenASCOA Video: Susan Segal on Gender Equality's Opportunity to Inspire

The founder of AS/COA Women's Hemispheric Network welcomed more than 100 participants to the fifth New York Women's Hemispheric Network Conference and spoke about the importance of sharing stories with younger female professionals. Segal said her travels around Latin America have shown how important the network is when it comes to inspiring young women to stay and participate in the workforce.

At the same time, she talked about the value of the network in countries such as the United States, saying: "As I also examine my own country now and I see everything and all the discussion, I think all of the women in the U.S. also have an enourmous opportunity to inspire, impact, and influence how we feel about being equal participants in society, in the workforce, in politics—and this is our opportunity today."
