The Council of the Americas Symposium and BRAVO Business Awards is the premier business engagement and dialogue platform in Latin America, offering an unparalleled space for industry leaders to meet and discuss the most critical issues facing the region.

Held at the University of Miami, the 2023 Council of the Americas Symposium convened an exclusive community of C-level leaders shaping Latin America’s business agenda. Speakers and participants included CEOs and Latin America presidents of top multinational corporations, as well as business visionaries and pioneers from across industries and geographies.

The BRAVO Business Awards took place at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and celebrated excellence and leadership in business and policy in the Western Hemisphere. The 28th BRAVO Business Awards Honorees were: 

  • BRAVO Hemispheric Leader of the Year: General Laura J. Richardson, Commander, United States Southern Command 
  • BRAVO Beacon of Innovation: Pix, Banco Central do Brasil (Accepted by: Governor Roberto Campos Neto) 
  • BRAVO Sustainability CEO of the Year: Francisco Ruiz-Tagle, CEO, Empresas CMPC 
  • BRAVO Visionary Business Leader of the Year: Luis Miguel Castillo, Chairman, Grupo Mariposa
