Mexico 2017 Video: Carlos Sada Solana and Susan Segal on Mexico and North America as a Power House

AS/COA's president and CEO and Mexico's undersecretary for North America opened the conference in Mexico City.

The 2017 Mexico City Latin American Cities Conference started with AS/COA President and CEO Susan Segal speaking about the importance of the U.S.- Mexico relationship for the interests of both countries, outlining the contributions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to the economies of its three members. Segal noted how 14 million U.S. jobs depend on trade between the three countries.

Mexico's Undersecretary for North America Carlos Sada Solana followed Segal and spoke about how trade in North America results in more connections among people in the three countries. He pointed to opportunities for a new phase in the partnership between the United States and Mexico on issues such as immigration and drug trafficking, recognizing a joint responsibility for both countries.
