At AS/COA's Latin American Cities Conference in Brasília, Foreign Affairs Minister Ernesto Araújo spoke on Brazil's global role, covering the country's shifting approach to U.S. relations, deepening ties with Asia, and progress on entry into the OECD. The minister also discussed the pessimistic reactions from the international community and press to political shifts in Brazil, and warned that dark forces seek to return the country to "stagnation and mediocrity."
