Council of the Americas will hold a public, on-the-record commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the peace accords that brought Guatemala’s civil war to a close. Key players from the negotiations—former Guatemalan President Álvaro Arzú, former U.S. Special Envoy for the Americas Thomas “Mack” McLarty, and former U.S. Ambassador to Guatemala Donald Planty—will deliver remarks.
