President and Founder, NDN/New Policy Institute

Simon Rosenberg is founder and president of NDN/New Policy Institute, a center-left think tank in Washington, DC. Simon has been a leader in efforts to modernize the center-left in American politics over the past generation, working on a broad range of issues from global economic policy to America's changing demography. He is a frequent political commentator on cable news, and his work and ideas are often featured in the country's leading newspapers, magazines and websites. Simon began his career working for ABC News and spent several years as a producer/writer before transitioning into politics. He is a veteran of two Presidential campaigns, including the 1992 Clinton "War Room," came very close to being elected chair of the Democratic Party in 2005 and is on a prominent advisory board to the Department of State. Simon is a 1985 graduate of Tufts University. He currently lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two children. Simon is a member of the 2001 class of Henry Crown Fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute.
