Michael Shea serves as managing director and global head of Capital Solutions at Atlas Renewable Energy, where he leads the company’s Structured Finance, M&A, and Capital Planning activities. With more than two decades of experience in international finance and renewable energy, Michael has been instrumental in developing and executing Atlas’ capital strategy across Latin America and beyond.

Since joining Atlas in 2017, Michael has overseen the structuring of over USD $9 billion in credit products, supporting the company’s rapid growth and the successful delivery of some of the region’s most complex renewable energy financings. His leadership has been pivotal in advancing innovative capital solutions that enable Atlas to expand its solar and battery storage portfolio while ensuring long-term value creation for investors and clients.

Before joining Atlas, Michael held senior positions in SunEdison and Deutsche Bank, where he led structured finance operations and strategic capital raises across Latin America. He also founded MTSI Brasil Participações, a private investment firm focused on real estate and high-growth ventures.

Michael holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is based in São Paulo, Brazil.
