Margarita Stolbizer
Margarita Stolbizer is a national deputy representing the province of Buenos Aires from the Partido Generación para un Encuentro Nacional (GEN)–which she founded–in the Argentine National Congress. She sits on the board of directors at Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) and participated as an observer to the preparatory meetings and diplomatic conferences in the negotiation for the Commercial Arms Treaty. This is Ms. Stolbizer's third tenure as national deputy having previously served from 1997 to 2001 and again from 2001 to 2005. She has participated in the Forum of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (Foro de Parlamentarios contra la Corrupción) and presided over the women's group of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Americas (Foro Interparlamentario de las Américas). Ms. Stolbizer was president to the International Council of the PGA and through the PGA has participated in the Coalition for the International Criminal Court. She has a law degree from the Universidad de Morón.
