Marcos Kantt is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of experience across high-growth technology platforms and global capital markets. Prior to Plata, Marcos served as CFO of Habi, one of Latin America’s leading real estate technology platforms, where he helped scale the company into a multi-hundred-million-dollar business, growing revenue more than 10x. He built and led the finance organization and implemented institutional-grade financial systems, controls, and governance frameworks, including audit, reporting, treasury, and capital planning, to support disciplined, scalable growth. He also raised over $500 million in equity and structured debt across complex market conditions, optimized funding costs, and led strategic initiatives including M&A and joint ventures.

Earlier in his career, Marcos spent nearly two decades in investment banking at Credit Suisse and Bank of America in New York, as Managing Director and Head of Latin America Financial Institutions, FinTech, and Real Estate. Over that period, he advised on more than $40 billion in M&A and over $70 billion in capital raised across global markets. His experience includes structuring complex transactions, leading cross-border execution, and advising financial institutions through critical strategic and capital decisions.

Marcos brings deep expertise in building institutional-grade financial infrastructure, managing risk at scale, and aligning growth with disciplined capital allocation a combination of institutional rigor and high-growth execution rarely found in emerging market financial platforms. At Plata, he is focusing on scaling a best-in-class financial platform, expanding and optimizing the company’s funding model, and preparing the business for a successful transition to the public markets in the future.
