
Julio Figueroa
Julio Figueroa is the head of Citi in Latin America. Mr. Figueroa joined Citi in 1994 in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division. Since then, he had several roles within CIB in Buenos Aires (1994-2001), Miami (2001- 2004) and New York (2004-2010). In 2010, he returned to Argentina as CIB head. In 2014, he was appointed Citi chief country officer (CCO) in Peru. He took the role of Argentina CCO in 2016. From 2020 until his recent appointment as head of Latin America in October 2023, Mr. Figueroa was CCO and banking head for Citi in the South region (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay). Mr. Figueroa is currently chairman of the Boards of Directors of Grupo Financiero Citi Mexico and Banco Citi México. He also serves as vice president of the Boards of Directors of Banco de Chile (NYSE BCH) and LQ Inversiones Financieras in Chile and is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Council of the Americas, the Young Presidents Association – Argentina, the Argentine Business Association, and the Latin America Business Council. Julio Figueroa holds an MBA in Finance degree from CEMA University in Buenos Aires, and a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting, from the Catholic University of Argentina.
