Julianne Canavaggio
Julianne Canavaggio is the head of Central America & Caribbean for the financial advisory division of Lazard. She advises companies in general strategic and transaction-specific matters regarding domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, special committee assignments and joint ventures. As head of Central America and the Caribbean, Canavaggio also oversees the day-to-day operations of the region, responsible for key decisions in a wide range of sectors and fields of the business, including operations, marketing, business development, finance, and human resources, among others. Prior to joining Lazard, she worked at Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega (ARIFA) for seven years, Baker & McKenzie LLP in the U.S. for more than 3 years, and served as head counsel to Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (Bladex) as part of an outsourcing project at ARIFA.
Julianne Canavaggio es directora de Centroamérica y el Caribe en Lazard, firma de banca de inversión, manejo de activos y de asesoramiento en fusiones y adquisiciones que opera en América Latina. Canavaggio asesora a empresas en temas de asuntos estratégicos generales y específicos, ya sea de transacciones, fusiones, adquisiciones nacionales y transfronterizas, entre otras. Como jefe de Centroamérica y el Caribe, Canavaggio también supervisa las operaciones cotidianas de la región y es responsable de las decisiones clave en una amplia gama de sectores de la empresa, incluidas las operaciones, marketing, el desarrollo empresarial, finanzas y Recursos Humanos. Antes de unirse a Lazard, trabajó en Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega (ARIFA) durante siete años, y Baker & McKenzie LLP en EE. UU. durante más de tres años. Adicionalmente se desempeñó como asesor principal del Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (Bladex) como parte de un proyecto de outsourcing en ARIFA.
