Julia Torreblanca serves as Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde S.A.A. Previously, she was Vice President of Legal Affairs and Government Relations. She joined Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde in 1997, was appointed Legal Director in 2003, and became Legal and Environmental Director in 2004.

A lawyer, she specializes in mining, environmental, and corporate law, as well as project financing and permitting.  

Torreblanca also serves as President of the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE) and is Co-Chair of APEC’s Advisory Council for 2025. Women in Mining (WIM) recognized her as one of the 100 most inspiring women in mining in 2024 for her transformative contributions to the industry.
