José González-Campo
Mr. González-Campo is the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Senior Director of Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI). CMI is multinational family-owned corporation of Latin American origin that generates investment, employment, and development in the region. Founded in Guatemala in 1920, it currently employs over 40,000 people in 16 countries. CMI operates through two business units: CMI Foods and CMI Capital. The former business portfolio is varied: wheat flour mills; pasta, cracker, and cookie manufacturing; poultry and swine production, processed meats, and various types of sausages; nutritional animal production and pet foods; restaurants, featuring the Pollo Campero brand, among other business. The latter includes renewable energy projects, real estate projects and financial services. José González-Campo joined CMI as the Corporate Affairs Director in 2017. Before that, he was the Executive Director of Grupo PreCon (2005-2017). Between 2000 and 2005, he served as first General Director at Tritech Overseas and COO of the joint venture resulting from the merge of Tritech (Iron Operations) and Castrol Industrial, then part of British Petroleum. Additionally, he was a member of the Latin America Management Team Castrol Industrial Americas (2002-2004).
In 1998 he was General Director of Corporate Tritech, directly responsible for managing Tritech operations in Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Mexico. He was actively involved in the negotiation of a joint venture with Castrol Industrial. Between 1997 and 2017, he was Executive Director of PreCon and a member of the board of directors of PreCon, Consulta, and Tritech Overseas. His participation in associations includes the following: member of the Castrol Americas Industrial Distributor Advisory Council (2011-2015); Secretary (2009-2010) and President (2010-2012) of Asociación Guatemalteca de Contratistas de la Construction (Guatemalan Construction Contractors’ Association). He was also Treasurer (2012-2014), Vice-President (2014-2016), and President (2016-2018) of the Construction Chamber of Guatemala. He has been an active member of CACIF (Comité Coordinador de Asociaciones Agrícolas, Comerciales, Industriales y Financieras) – Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, and Financial Coordinating Committee - as: Member of the Political Commission since 2011; Coordinator of the Labor Commission since 2014; Member of the Board since 2014; First Vice-President (2016); President (2016-2017). He was also President of FEDEPRICAP (Federación de Entidades Privadas de Centroamérica, Panamá y República Dominicana) - Private Institutions Federation of Central America, Panama, and the Dominican Republic - between 2016 and 2017. He is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad Rafael Landívar and holds an MBA from the Universidad Católica de Chile.

Fue fundada en Guatemala en 1920 y cuenta hoy con más de 40,000 colaboradores en 16 países. CMI trabaja a través de dos agrupaciones de negocio: CMI Alimentos, con negocios de molinos de harina de trigo, producción de pasta y galletas; industria avícola, porcícola, procesados y fabricación de embutidos; alimentos balanceados para animales y mascotas; y la industria de restaurantes, con su marca Pollo Campero, entre otras. CMI Capital incluye proyectos de generación de energía renovable; desarrollo de proyectos inmobiliarios y negocios de servicios financieros. José González-Campo ingresó a CMI como Director de Asuntos Corporativos y Sostenibilidad en 2017. Anteriormente, se desempeñó como Director Ejecutivo de Grupo PreCon (2005-2017). Del 2000 al 2005 fungió como primer Director General de Tritech Overseas y COO del Joint Venture resultante de la unión de Tritech (Iron Operations) y Castrol Industrial, parte del grupo petrolero BP. Adicional, fue miembro del Latin America Management Team Castrol Industrial Americas (2002-2004). En 1998 fue Director General Tritech Corporativo, encargado directo de la gerencia de las operaciones de Tritech en Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica y México. Participó activamente en el proceso de negociación de un Joint Venture con Castrol Industrial.
Desde 1997, hasta 2017, participó como Director Ejecutivo de PreCon y fue miembro Director de la Junta Directiva de PreCon, Consulta y Tritech Overseas. Dentro de su participación en asociaciones se ha destacado como Miembro Castrol Americas Industrial Distributor Advisory Council (2011-2015). Fue Secretario (2009-2010) y Presidente (2010-2012) de la Asociación Guatemalteca de Contratistas de la Construcción. Participó como Tesorero (2012-2014), Vicepresidente (2014-2016) y Presidente (2016-2018) de la Cámara Guatemalteca de la Construcción. Ha participado activamente en el Comité Coordinador de Asociaciones Agrícolas, Comerciales, Industriales y Financieras CACIF como: Miembro de la Comisión Política desde el 2011; Coordinador Comisión Laboral desde 2014; Miembro del Directorio desde 2014; Primer Vicepresidente (2016); Presidente de 2016 al 2017; Presidente de FEDEPRICAP (Federación de Entidades Privadas de Centro América, Panamá y República Dominicana) del 2016 al 2017. Posee una Licenciatura en Ingeniería Química Industrial de la Universidad Rafael Landívar y un Master in Business Administration (MBA) por la Universidad Católica de Chile.
