Senior Vice President, Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Group, Moody’s Ratings

John Medina is a senior vice president in Moody’s Ratings Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Team where he leads a diverse portfolio of project financings in digital, power and energy, transportation, social, and environmental infrastructure. John leads Moody’s Ratings global data center analytical coordination for research and outreach efforts. John engages directly with private and public credit market participants on new rating engagements for new project financings in all asset classes with a focus on new construction and esoteric financing structures.

Before joining the PIF team in 2010, John spent two and a half years as a lead analyst for local governments and enterprises in Moody’s Eastern Regional Ratings Team where he rated municipal issuers. John was named as one of the Bond Buyer's Rising Stars and has won a couple of Smith's All-Star Municipal Analyst Awards. John helped launch and was the initial co-chair for Moody’s NY Multicultural Employee Resource Group and is a founding steering committee member of Moody’s NY LGBTA Employee Resource Group.

 Prior to joining Moody’s, John worked as a risk management analyst, a property and casualty insurance account manager, and a health care claims auditor. John earned his BA degree in Health Care Economics and Policy from Stanford University as well as an MPA in Health Care Public Finance from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
