Jerry Haar is a professor and director of executive & professional education in the College of Business at Florida International University. He is also a global fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., and a non-resident senior research fellow at Georgetown University. Dr. Haar holds graduate degrees from Columbia, Johns Hopkins and Harvard, and has held visiting appointments at Wharton, Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, and the American Enterprise Institute. A former Fulbright Scholar at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil, Dr. Haar served as Director of Washington Programs for the Council of the Americas. He has consulted for many multinational companies and has authored 18 books including most recently Globalization, Competitiveness and Governability, with Ricardo Ernst of Georgetown University.
