Jeff Glekin was appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Plurinational State of Bolivia in January 2019. He was previously Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Bogotá.

He served for four years as Deputy Head of the Business and Economic Department of the British Chancellery (FCO) in London. From 2007 to 2011 he served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Mumbai, India. He was a columnist for Reuters Breakingviews and has published in newspapers such as the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, El Pais, The Globe and Mail. Before joining the British Chancellery, he worked for four years in Her Majesty's Treasury. He is a graduate of Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
