Javier Iguacel
Javier Iguacel has been Argentina´s minister of energy since June of 2018. He was general administrator of the National Direction of Roads from 2015 to 2018. In 2015, he began his political career as candidate for mayor in Capitán Sarmiento alongside the political party Propuesta Republicana (PRO). Previously, Iguacel held technical positions at YPF and Petrobras Energia S.A., contributing his knowledge in the oil industry. Until 2015, he was vice president at Plus Petrol, and earlier, Iguacel worked at the state oil company, YPF, from 1997 to 1999. He obtained his title as an oil engineer from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA), and then obtained a postgraduate degree in management development at Austral University.
Javier Iguacel ha estado ministro de energía de la República Argentina desde junio de 2018. Iguacel ocupó cargos técnicos en YPF y Petrobras Energía S.A., aportando sus conocimientos en la industria petrolera. Luego hasta 2015, fue vicepresidente en Pluspetrol. En 2015 comenzó su carrera política como candidato a intendente del PRO en Capitán Sarmiento. Fue administrador general de la Dirección Nacional de Vialidad de 2015 a 2018. Luego trabajo en la petrolera estatal, YPF, entre 1997 y 1999. Iguacel obtuvó su título de ingeniero petrolero del Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA), y luego realizó un postgrado en desarrollo gerencial en el IAE de la Universidad Austral.
