Mr. Aristeguieta was appointed Group Head, International Banking in May 2023. In this role, Francisco is responsible for overseeing Scotiabank’s International Banking business line. Francisco is a seasoned global banking leader with more than 30 years of leadership experience managing large businesses and successfully implementing strategic change and transformation across Consumer, Wealth Management and Institutional Corporate & Investment Banking for major financial services organizations in a wide range of markets including Latin America, North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Francisco holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Brunel University in England. He also has a graduate degree in Banking and Finance and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Metropolitana in Venezuela. He has served on numerous boards in the U.S., Asia, and Latin America, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) since 2003.
