Felipe Villamarín is a co-founder of Rappi, the Latin American super-app he started in Bogotá in 2015 with Simón Borrero and Sebastián Mejía. An economist by training from Universidad de los Andes, he came to Rappi from new-business roles at Imaginamos and Grability, and was named among Bloomberg's 50 Most Influential in 2019 alongside his co-founders. Rappi now operates in nine countries and more than 200 cities. Inside the company he leads Product and Technology, and his role is less that of a single-vertical owner than of the connective tissue between teams, metrics and tools. His current bets reflect a company pivoting from speed to quality and to really becoming AI-native.
