On March 2, 2026, Federico Furiase was appointed secretary of finance at Argentina’s ministry of economy. He holds a master’s degree in Finance from UTDT and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Cum Laude) from UBA. He is the director of Anker Latin America. Previously, he served as a senior analyst at Estudio Bein & Asociados from 2008 to 2017 and as director of Eco Go Consultores from 2017 to 2021.

He specializes in macroeconomics and finance and has nearly 15 years of professional experience in macroeconomic and financial consulting. His work includes delivering presentations to companies and financial institutions and analyzing the local and international macro-financial context to inform financial decision-making. He is a professor of Applied Macroeconomic Current Topics and of the Leveling Course for the Master’s Degree in Finance at UTDT, where he is also a member of the faculty for the Final Thesis course.

He is the author of numerous economics and finance columns in media outlets and has also participated in various news programs as an economic columnist
