Enrique Bascur leads CVCI Private Equity’s business in Latin America as a managing partner. He has been active in private equity in Latin America since 1998. He joined Citigroup's private equity area in 2000 and led the Santiago, Chile office until 2004. Prior to his involvement in private equity, he was Citigroup's corporate finance head in Chile. Between 1992 and 1997, Bascur was a senior banker at Bankers Trust in New York, focused on capital markets and M&A transactions across the Latin American region. From 1985 until he joined Bankers Trust, Bascur was a banker at Citibank in Chile and Venezuela, where he held positions as financial institutions head in Chile and corporate finance head in Venezuela. He earned a civil engineering degree from Universidad Católica de Chile and an M.B.A. degree from Wharton.
