Elizabeth Nieto

Global Chief Officer of Diversity & Inclusion, MetLife

Elizabeth Nieto is the global chief officer of Diversity & Inclusion at MetLife. When she assumed the position in 2012, the company implemented their first global D&I strategy focused on regional initiatives and the development of women globally. Since March 2017, Nieto has also been responsible for the senior talent review process, the GLDP program, and executive coaching. Before joining MetLife, she was the global head of Talent, Learning and Diversity for Marsh, Inc., where she was responsible for talent management, all learning initiatives, leadership, and inclusion roles. Nieto also led the talent management task force as part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies HR transformation initiative. During her 20-year tenure at Citigroup, she worked in global talent management, diversity, and inclusion. Nieto has also managed global and regional learning organizations, working extensively in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Early in her career, she worked at Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting in the change management practice, both in the United States and Latin America. Born and raised in Argentina, Nieto worked with non-profit organizations that support global girls’ rights to education, access to developmental opportunities for young underserved talent, and teenagers at risk. She served as a board member for Girls Learn International and is currently a board member at The Opportunity Network, A Fair Shake for Youth, and the All Stars Project. Nieto earned her master’s degree from the University of Buenos Aires.

Elizabeth Nieto es la directora general global de Diversidad e Inclusión en MetLife. Cuando asumió el cargo en 2012, la compañía implementó su primera estrategia global de D&I centrada en iniciativas regionales y el desarrollo de las mujeres a nivel mundial. Desde marzo de 2017, ella también ha sido responsable de revisión de talento sénior, el programa GLDP y el coaching ejecutivo. Se desempeñó como miembro de la junta directiva de Girls Learn International, y es miembro de la junta de The Opportunity Network, A Fair Shake for Youth y All Stars Project. Nieto obtuvo su maestría de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
