Diego Flores Jiménez is head of the Electronics and Digital Industry Sector at Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, where he leads the agenda on the digital economy, semiconductors, and high-specialization manufacturing. He is co-lead of Mexico’s National Agenda on Artificial Intelligence. Previously, he served at Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as director for new technologies and national security affairs, and has also worked as a consultant in digital transformation and technology policy. He holds a Master’s degree in Government and Public Policy from Universidad Panamericana, a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from ITAM, and a specialization in national security from the National Intelligence Center (CNI / ESISEN). He has also been a professor at ITAM and a visiting professor at Northeastern University.
