David Sekiguchi is a principal of QFR Capital Management, L.P. Prior to this, Sekiguchi served as the managing director of IFL. Until 2005, he served as managing director of Deutsche Bank, where he served as global head of emerging markets strategy. Sekiguchi worked at J.P. Morgan, from 1996 to 2001, where he was the head of strategy for Latin America. He is an independent member of the SBS Asset Management SA SGFCI’s investment committee and served as a member of the emerging markets global management committee of Deutsche Bank.Sekiguchi received several awards from institutional investor as the best or second best Strategist of emerging markets, as well as similar awards for strategy for Latin America and currency strategy from II and Latin Finance. He earned a Masters and completed his Doctorate in Economics at the University of Chicago, where he specialized in finance and international economy.
