Claudia Costin

Founder and Director, Center for Excellence and Innovation in Education Policies (CEIPE)

Claudia Costin is the founder and director of CEIPE, the Center for Excellence and Innovation in Education Policies, a think-and-do tank within the Getulio Vargas Foundation, a leading private university in Brazil where she is a professor. She is a visiting professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and was a senior director for global education at the World Bank. Costin was the secretary of education of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil’s federal minister for public administration and state reform. She is a member of the governing board of the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo and writes every week for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo. In November 2020 Costin joined the governing boards of both the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning and the Qatar Foundation. Costin joined the Global Commission for the Future of Work at the International Labor Organization in 2018.
