Ana María Gallardo has a master’s in international business from the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, has a diploma in Public Administration from the Catholic University and Casa Grande University of Guayaquil. She has a B.S. in International Business from Universidad Espiritu Santo in Guayaquil and Surrey Roehampton University in London. She completed the leadership program in digital transformation for women at the IDE Business School.

She has 17 years of experience in the private, diplomatic, public and academic sectors, she was Director of Arvum, Trade Commissioner in New York and Trade Officer in Mexico for the government of Ecuador.

She is a university professor and Head of Foreign Trade for Atlas Trading and Shipping of Ecuador. She was Coordinator for the Promotion of Exports and Investments of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries and a member of the board of the Guayaquil Port Authority. She served as Executive Director of the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce -AMCHAM Guayaquil, and is currently the Vice Minister of Export and Investment Promotion.
