Alina Hernandez is the senior director of Corporate Affairs for Kellanova Latin America, where she leads the Government Relations, Communications, Sustainability, and Philanthropy functions. She is a members of the Kellanova Latin America Leadership Team and the global Corporate Affairs Leadership Team. Alina joined Kellanova in August 2024, playing a pivotal role in shaping the region’s strategic direction during its transformative journey. Since her arrival, she has been instrumental in the merger announcement between Mars and Kellanova, actively contributing to the integration team and refining the vision to establish the company as the leading powerhouse of snacks and cereals in Latin America. Her efforts have also strengthened Kellanova’s representation in key trade associations, including the National Corn Chamber, the American Society of Mexico, and the Latin American Alliance of Food and Beverage Industry Associations (ALAIB). Additionally, she has reestablished communication channels with key public officials at both the national and state levels. Internally, Alina serves as a co-sponsor of Women of Kellanova, fostering empowerment and growth among female employees. Externally, she acts as a key spokesperson for the company, enhancing Kellanova's visibility through significant media engagements and interviews.

With a 20-year career in Public Affairs, Alina brings extensive experience, including nearly a decade in the food industry with PepsiCo. In her previous role, she represented the Corporate Affairs function before the Latin America Executive Committee and engaged with multilateral forums such as the Inter-American Development Bank, Americas Business Dialogue (where she led the agribusiness working group), and the Business at OECD (supporting the launch of its Latin America chapter). Additionally, she collaborated with regional trade associations like the Consumer Goods Forum, where she led the plastics coalition, providing valuable insights that shaped global public policy strategies, particularly regarding the global plastics treaty negotiations. Prior to her tenure in the food and beverage sector, Alina worked as a public affairs consultant across various industries, including finance, pharmaceuticals, energy, tourism, and the public sector. Her contributions to the field were recognized in 2020 when she was named one of Expansion's "30 Promises of Business," a prestigious accolade from one of Mexico’s leading business publications. Alina has also contributed to publications for outlets such as Nexos, Este País and Horizontal. She holds a BA in International Relations from El Colegio de México and an MA in Communications from New York University. Currently, Alina resides in Mexico City with her family.
