Alfonso Eyzaguirre
Alfonso Eyzaguirre is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JPMorgan for Latin America and Canada, as well as the Head of Investment Banking for Latin America. He assumed this role in March 2021 from the firm’s New York headquarters, after serving as President of JPMorgan Chile and Head of Investment Banking for the region since 2013. His appointment was part of the bank's strategy to strengthen its presence in key growth markets across Latin America and Canada—regions with significant financial potential and investment opportunities.
Eyzaguirre brings over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, including 25 years at JPMorgan. His career began in Chile at Banco Santander, before he moved to the United States to earn an MBA from UCLA. In 1997, he joined Chase, which later merged with JPMorgan, marking the beginning of his long-standing tenure at the bank. Throughout his career, he has led major M&A transactions and initial public offerings across various countries in the region.
