Aitor Jauregui, managing director, is head of Latin America for BlackRock, responsible for all of the firm’s activities in the region. He chairs the Latin America Executive Committee and Latin America Operating Committee. 

Mr. Jauregui is also a member of BlackRock’s Global Operating Committee. Mr. Jauregui’s service with the firm dates back to 2011. Prior to his current role, he was the country manager of Iberia (Spain, Portugal and Andorra) and a member of the EMEA Executive Committee. 

Aitor has extensive working experience covering asset management, investment banking and private banking. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Jauregui worked at EuroMTS, a leading fixed income electronic trading platform, as head of trading and was a member of the Executive Committee, living both in Spain and London. He started his professional career in 2002 as an investment manager at Safei Wealth Management. 

Mr. Jauregui earned an executive MBA from IESE Business School and an undergraduate degree in law and business administration with a minor in economics from the University of Deusto.
