Aaron Freedman

Vice President-Senior Credit Officer, Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group

Aaron Freedman is a vice president-senior credit officer in Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group. He is part of the team covering Latin America and the Caribbean and is directly responsible for a portfolio of countries ranging from Barbados to Venezuela. Previously, Freedman served as the team leader for the Americas in Moody’s Sub-Sovereign Ratings Group on an interim basis during 2011, out of the company’s Mexico City office. Additionally, he was previously a member of the U.S. Public, Corporate, and Project and Infrastructure Finance Groups. Prior to coming to Moody’s, Freedman worked for three years in Japan. He has also briefly spent time at both the United Nations Development Program and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Freedman received his Master of International Affairs degree with a concentration in economic policy from Columbia University and his B.A. from Duke.
