    Beyond household television screens, telenovelas often materialized through physical memorabilia such as popular magazines, soundtracks, posters, books, and other widely circulated objects made to accompany these iconic shows. These forms of media act as mementos for fans, and preserve the legacy of a show after its finale. The collection of second-hand telenovela memorabilia displayed here pays homage to the lasting impact of these serial dramas, which extends far beyond the screen, and shapes everyday life and popular culture across the globe.

    Off-Screen: Telenovela Memorabilia is being presented in Americas Society’s Library and Archives exhibition space from September 9, 2026 through March 27, 2027. This display is in conjunction with the Telenovela exhibition.
