Overview

Following Abelardo de la Espriella’s presidential victory, Colombia enters a new political period shaped by persistent security concerns, a fragmented congress, and uncertainty over the direction and implementation of economic policy.

In Miami, Young Professionals of the Americas will host two private, off-the-record panels on what to expect from the new administration in Colombia, including how the incoming administration may approach the bilateral relationship with the United States, respond to the security challenges affecting businesses and investment, navigate relations with a divided legislature, and translate its pro-market platform into concrete policy. Speakers will also touch on how Colombia’s business climate will define the private sector, entrepreneurs, and investors in the coming years.

This event is free for members and $10 for non-members.
